Inferno News

Inferno expanded!!
After many years of Inferno at Arlberg, and a successful change to Ischgl, the next steps are following now. For one thing, in MARCH, in Ischgl there will be skiers for the first time at the start, and for another we are expanding to the east and shall organise in march, in the Romanian Carpathians, the first Frejn's Inferno. We believe we have in Ischgl the ideal premises, allowing us to provide the skiers and snowboarders with a demanding and diversified track. Skiers and snow borders race separately and have also different classifications. The celebration and the drinking shall be then done together. Our Romanian friends have been involved in the organisation since 2002. We are now working together as a good team. Especially Julius has forced the idea of organising an Inferno in Romania. Between Brasov and Sinaia, the Carpathians are over 2000 meters high and the snow situation has been an especially good one for the past 5 years.

Ridersmeeting 10:30 Idalp at the half pipe
If the circumstances are appropriate, there will be 2 runs for snow boarders and 2 for the skiers.
Victory ceremony: ca. 16:00 Hrs. at the finish of the second run.
Prizes: We are now in negotiation with sponsors and shall announce in due time the amount of prize money.
Participation fee: 30 € including lift ticket and food and drinks at the barbecue.
As always pieps and helmets are compulsory. Rental pieps are available but have to be booked. (We also recommend the protection of the backbone, knees and elbows)

According to the situation of the snow, we shall inform, all registered participants, of the exact location, via e-mail and SMS, at least 5 days before the event, and shall post all details required here, on this site.
